Adding to the frustration of cleaning out is that my 11 1/2 month-old is crawling and walking around like crazy and getting into everything! Not only does this make getting any meal ready a bit difficult, but I have the extra cleaning up to do behind her (because I can’t be lazy and leave it in the floor or I might end up at the ER with a broken neck!).
So, my goal to de-clutter one area in my home each week would have received a failing grade this week. I’m embarrassed to admit that I haven’t even finished my closet. I did go through and get rid of several belts from my BC era (Before Children), but I’m convinced they never really fit me anyway (at least that makes me a little happier with my post-baby body
). Hopefully I’ll make better headway this next week - perhaps I’ll go through all my vests from the ’90’s era!
I did do a quick little clean-out and reorganizing in my spice cabinet. I didn’t really want to give myself credit for de-cluttering - I think I only threw away three or four items from the cabinet (and you can see I probably should have purged more)
I’ve done well not crossing my legs this week, and it has gotten much easier! I would give me an A+ on this - does that make up for not having finished my closet?

My habit for this week is decluttering too
I have a 15 1/2 month old - they certainly add to the challenge, don’t they? and as for post-baby-bodies… sigh. I am still holding onto clothes that didn’t fit me ten years ago… I doubt they will ever fit me again… so now I hold onto them in case my daughters want them to play dress up (so far my SON is an only child…)

I think the spice cupboard looks great. How nice of you to help your mom - I think that totally counts. You decluttered, it was just someone else’s space. How great will it be to do it for yourself this week?

I think the spice cabinet totally counts - you cleared it out, purged {even if it’s just a little}, reorganized and it looks great. Plus you helped out your mom so you should get double points! I hope you have a better week next week - maybe de-cluttering will help with your daughter getting into things as well. Bonus!

Your spice cabinet so counts! It looks great! It is hard to do anything with an infant around. Good luck this week trying to declutter one area in your home.

I laughed out loud from reading your post. thanks for the laughter. Seriously, I have been right where you are. Just give yourself a break and you’ll be more motivated as time goes by.
