We’ve been calling this a “Harry Potter Summer.” I just finished reading the fifth book (Order of the Phoenix), and my husband just finished listening to the fifth book on audio. He is reading the second book to our oldest (who is 7) and the first book to our second child (he’s almost 5 years old - we’re still trying to determine how much he’s actually comprehending of the story). So, there’s much talk of Harry and Hogwarts around our house lately - it feels very magical :wink:

While we are all eagerly awaiting the release of the seventh and final book, we meet the release with some sadness. After all, it seems the end to an era. Oh, I know the books live on forever, and we’re looking forward to experiencing Hogwarts with each of our children through the entire series. But there are no more after this one. This is it. It’s just one of those things that you wish could go on and on forever (like a good vacation). Ah well, all good things must come to an end - someone said that. I don’t necessarily agree with it (and I certainly don’t LIKE it!).  (**UPDATE - You can win a free copy of the latest book through July 27th if you stop by Heather’s)

I’m itching to go see the newest Harry Potter movie - aren’t you??? We’ve seen every single one on opening night - well, not this time :sad: .
