You’ve probably had a hard time this weekp7110003.JPG just knowing I was tackling my work space shelves, wondering how the project was going to look after completion. Do you remember how cluttered it all looked?

In all honesty, the shelves had become a parking lot of stuff I didn’t know what to do with - the snowman my 4-year-old made whose eyeballs keep falling off, the torn out page from a book, the castle guard figure that needs to have his arm glued back on (again), the creations from school that are meant for “decorative” purposes, and a host of other mis-matched objects.

Well, I spent part of the week fixing what could be fixed and (secretly) throwing away that which wasn’t worthy of my time. I filed things away neatly, threw p8130003.JPGsome things away, and made some decisions about where to put some things. O.k. Some things I didn’t couldn’t decide on, so I just stuck them somewhere else. Many landed on my desk but they were things that I wasn’t willing to stay up any later for to handle (yes, the one-eyed snowman was one such item). Guess last week’s tackle will spill over a little into this next week  .

So (drum roll, please), here is the finished product on my shelves:

I know you are almost excited as I am to see how they un-cluttered they look (you could probably place some bets on how LONG I’ll be able to keep them looking this good!). Most of you liked the green “shoeboxes” on my shelves that my husband dislikes. See? I decided to keep them! I’ve still got to make a couple of labels for the only TWO binders I decided needed to stay in my desk area (I may change my mind on one of them . . . ), but otherwise this area is TACKLED!

Too bad, my desk is the ugly stepchild right now. In the process of de-cluttering the shelves, my desk wasn’t the only area that took a direct hit. Here’s the area UNDER my desk:

and here’s my office drawer:

Oh my god! It’s turned into my junk drawer!!! I didn’t think I had one! Now, sadly, I realize I do.

Here’s what I want you to do. Vote for which area I should tackle this next week. You vote this week and come back next week to find out which area “won.” C’mon! A little more fun in our lives won’t hurt anyone.
