Out with the old . . .
In with the new . . .
Jackson Heating & Air actually arrived a little earlier than scheduled this morning to install our new heat pump. They were here about 7:20 am - ON.A.SATURDAY!!! They did such a fabulous job, that I have to give them a little plug!
So, the sales guy is here on Thursday, and my brand spankin’ new Trane XR14 kick-@#! heat pump is installed by 11:30 am SATURDAY morning! How incredible is that???
Know what my SMART Habit is for this week? To keep my cool . . . in more ways than one. While the temperature is nice and comfy on the inside, I’m going to try to keep my temper in the cool zone as well. I’ve been reading Scream-Free Parenting and finding it to be a very easy read. I don’t have all the answers . . . but I’m encouraged to work on it!
Here are the others I’m working on:
De-clutter an area each week - the closet is still slow-going, but I’m enjoying wearing some of the things that have been hanging in there since the ice age
; I did manage to also de-clutter the two shelves above my work space - I’m so proud!
Not crossing legs - habit (mostly
)
Intentional Computer Time - not really - perhaps I need to be more specific . . . .
Not leaving things mid-project - kinda backsliding on this one now with so many things in the house FALLING APART!!!
Clean & Clutter-FreeDining Room - pretty good if my kids would stop abandoning their stuff in there!
Project Chart - good, except I’ve noticed that I’m avoiding several items on the chart - could it be that some aren’t appropriate for me to consider right now since the attic is 150o and reeks of dead squirrel???
Head over to The Lazy Oranganizer to see how others are changing their lives for the better with SMART Habit Saturday!
(Don’t forget to check out her generous quilt raffle for Foster Kids - there’s button in my sidebar she helped me create for it!)

Congratulations on the new heat pump! Staying cool in the house definitely makes a difference at keeping calm with the kids (and anything else that pops up!)
Thanks for the visit at my site. I really appreciated the encouragement!

We had issues with our air conditioner this week too. We are in post housing so maintenance took care of it but it was a chore to get them out. Good job on your habits so far & I like your new one. I’ve been reading Dare to Discipline and it’s got some good stuff in there too. Oh and I just read up on why you aren’t crossing your legs anymore & thank you for sharing that information. I’ve noticed a couple of ugly veins since having my second child. No more leg crossing for me. You would have done great at the baby shower I went to yesterday, no leg crossing allowed if you wanted to win the prize. I lost because I said ‘baby’, hard not to do when I had my 10 month old with me.
