Once I started taking ballet classes, I began feeling like I was doing something healthy for me (besides eating my vegetables which is so passive). Doing something healthy for me made me feel like doing something else healthy for me - like exercise.
I’ve been so jealous of all you SMART people out there with exercise on your list. How can you find the time? Well, the answer is, you can’t! You have to make the time! I’m sure I’m giving up something else (besides my sanity) to fit in some exercise; but I know when I’m 60, I’ll thank myself
.
No set numerical goals . . . no exercise jargon to get tangled up in . . . I’m just kinda “jogging” along. Ballet once a week, maybe a 20-minute exercise video once a week, perhaps an ab workout a couple of times each week . . . throw in a couple of good walks around the neighborhood with my family in tow for good measure. That’s a LOT more than I’m doing now, so it’s something!
Of course, I get the weekends off
.

You hit the nail on the head, exercise is not something that just gets done, you have to make time for it. I love it because I go to the gym every morning after I drop my daughter off at school. Little Man then goes to the Kids Club at the gym and I have a glorious hour or so to myself reading, listening to music and working out. Of course, I also enjoy the classes I go to sometimes.
Good luck, you will love this habit!

oh if only the exercise fairy would come wave her magic wand and we could benefit from it without the effort! i struggle with making the time too……..but you’re right, we’ll be thankful for it in the future. good luck! it sounds like you have a lot of different possibilities to get you started

I got addicted to the gym when my oldest was four months old. They have a great nursery and it was the only break I got all day so you know I never missed! It’s a lot harder to go now that my kids are older but I already have the habit so i go anyway. Plus I know I am setting a great example for my kids like my Mom did for me.
You can do it!
