Well, I’ll admit it. I don’t like to put anything in writing that I’m not going to stick to. That means, I don’t put down a new habit unless I ALREADY KNOW I CAN AND WILL DO IT. Call me a cheater if you must, but I prefer “success junkie.”

Once I started taking ballet classes, I began feeling like I was doing something healthy for me (besides eating my vegetables which is so passive). Doing something healthy for me made me feel like doing something else healthy for me - like exercise.

I’ve been so jealous of all you SMART people out there with exercise on your list. How can you find the time? Well, the answer is, you can’t! You have to make the time! I’m sure I’m giving up something else (besides my sanity) to fit in some exercise; but I know when I’m 60, I’ll thank myself  .

No set numerical goals . . . no exercise jargon to get tangled up in . . . I’m just kinda “jogging” along. Ballet once a week, maybe a 20-minute exercise video once a week, perhaps an ab workout a couple of times each week . . . throw in a couple of good walks around the neighborhood with my family in tow for good measure. That’s a LOT more than I’m doing now, so it’s something!

Of course, I get the weekends off  .
