During our monthly Mom’s Nite Out, a friend was talking about her slow-cooker recipe that her family would be forced to eat on for the next week (that’s what happens when you use a 4 lb. rack of meat for a family of three  ).

I suggested that she freeze half of it; when she’s ready to serve it again, pull is out of the freezer, drop it back in the crock pot and cook it on low all day (or half the day - you can watch it if you’re a WAHM - I’ve never really timed it to an exact science). Voila! Easy peasy!

Since she and another mom looked at me as though that idea sounded better than sliced bread, I thought I’d share the thought with the rest of the blogosphere. Just one more way to make dinner simple. (Check out my menu plans for more easy dinner ideas)

Now, the REAL Works for Me Wednesday tip I had planned to share relates to wreath storage. I use wreaths to decorate my front door for each season of the year, but I’ve had a terrible time storing them in such a way that didn’t crunch the wreaths or my pocket book.

In our attic, I pounded some nails into a few of the rafters (? is that what you call them? well, the wood that holds the house up is what I mean) and I hung the wreaths on them - they’re always fresh and ready to decorate at the appropriate time. Not to mention, they are easy to get to!

There you have it! Two ideas that work for me. Head over to Shannon’s for more Works for Me Wednesday ideas! (After you click on my Top Momma banner of course  ).
