Ten on Tuesday this week is what 10 things we want for Christmas. Here goes . . . .

1. A new camera - I’m cheating here, cuz I already received my new Canon Powershot S3 IS. What would be the point in getting a camera on Christmas Day when you’d miss all kinds of great photo and movie ops??? I’m studying the THREE manuals so I’ll be ready come Christmas Day!

2. A new vacuum cleaner - I’m cheating again (really, I’m just too impatient to wait for Christmas for my gifts ). I got a Eureka “The Boss” Smartvac 4870. I.AM.LOVING.IT (except I don’t have enough time to use it as often as I’d like).

3. New cabinets around my refrigerator. We stripped the wallpaper to re-route the plumbing when we moved the washer and dryer to create a pantry, so the wall still looks horrid. But I REALLY want cabinets - more organizational cubbies for backpacks, a wine rack, and a place for my cookbooks.

4. Another portable DVD player (don’t you need one for each row of seats in the minivan?)

5. A power roof ventilator, so our attic doesn’t get up to 190⁰ next summer!

6. A new tile floor for the kids bathroom - you know, the one we’re planning to redo this next year? Don’t ask me what the pink stuff is - it was there when we moved in, and nothing I’ve tried has removed it!

7. A one-hour massage!

8. A really good pedicure.

9. $25,000 - what? It’s a wish list, right?

10. Peace and hope for the world.
