You’ve probably been wondering all week whether I was going to clean out my desk drawer or the space under my desk. Goodness knows, they both REALLY needed it!
Between Lara’s sweet vote and my husband’s constantly asking me for something in that drawer this week, I decided to let the drawer win out! (For the rest of you - where is your sense of adventure? excitement? suspense? oh, your heat pump was out too, so you were too busy getting that taken care of? I understand

We were out of town last week, spending our vacation in Sandestin, Florida. Even though I really missed blogging (S-L-O-W internet in the room
), I enjoyed having a Tuesday not tackling something. Although, vacation to me is never really as relaxing as I wish it were (or as I remember it being before children). So I guess I feel like I tackled a trip all last week - perhaps I was with you all in spirit!
This week, I’m just trying to catch up on everything. Our fish tank is still in flux and we’ve lost two fish in the last week, with another one looking pretty “green around the gills”. So, we’re still doing frequent water changes and lots of testing!

Friday, 11:00 a.m. I caught just a whiff upon opening the refrigerator to make lunch. I figured someone had spilled a little milk on a shelf and I’d hunt down the source later.

As I’m preparing any meal these days, my almost 1-year-old adds to the challenge by providing me with an obstacle course to work through across the kitchen floor. She works her way from one cabinet to another, removing all the goodies she cares to explore - of course, she doesn’t put them back

As I stumbled into the kitchen this morning, I found my two boys playing computer games in the adjoining office. My oldest daughter was putting together puzzles nearby (a new skill she has recently developed). My 11-month old was sitting on the kitchen floor, playing amongst the goodies she had recently removed from neighboring cabinets. My husband was cooking breakfast (aren’t you jealous that he does this every week day
